Tarot has long been close to my heart.
I love symbolism and secret meanings, asking deep questions, and pondering the answers.
There is nothing innately special or spiritual about a deck of cards, but I have a fun belief that things happen for a reason, so when I pose a question to myself or to God or the Universe, Source, Higher Purpose (you get the idea) and a certain card falls out while I’m shuffling, I have a child-like excitement about what it might mean. I pour over the details and search my heart for any associations. I go to my stack of books on the Mysteries: tarot, numerology, mysticism, archetypes, the Bible and other sacred texts…and I sit with what jumps out at me. I let myself marinate in it. I sleep on it. I journal. I pray.
There is always something to learn. The cards are simply a tool for deep, introspective, personal growth.
Integrating the lessons into my thoughts and beliefs and way of being is the juicy part.
